Tower Blocks on Floodplains!!
The idea of building tower blocks on floodplains, is, at best, inane. Have the councils across the country become totally insane?
Do they, the developers & builders really expect a housing gain? Or will we be left with half built blocks and serious financial pain?
Barking and Dagenham council’s flood risk strategy can be seen, It’s on line and it’s easy to see the first problem; it’s dated 2017, It says in large print that the flood risk strategy is valid until 2023, Meanwhile, we sit and watch the floods and fires spread on TV,
It is not only the floodplains that say don’t live in a high-rise block, Working from home without the cost of travel keeps you out of hock, Without travel thousands of people can to the countryside flock, Become more relaxed and not always fret and watch the clock,
Working and living in a tower block could never be called astute, Though it does finish the crowded, squeezed, daily commute, No daily travel means not having a season ticket and saving loot, And houses away from big cities are much better value to boot.
