Jeremy Hunt; Chancellor of the Exchequer,
Is in charge as director,
And should the wisdom,
Be to avoid others milking the system,

But has Hunt already trodden?
On promises made, then forgotten,
Capital gains tax at 20 per cent,
Better than income tax at 45 per cent,

Capital gains tax is for a sole trader,
Or Business Partnership Company,
And pay’s tax at a mere 20 per cent,
But income tax would also double the rent,  

Capital Gains Tax leaves a big hole,
This loss is now a 14 billion goal,
Maybe we should now repent,
And be certain to collect every cent

Living in the land of the super-rich, 
Was playing on a different pitch,
Even a proposed charge of one per cent,
Will not make them repent.

But paying just one per cent more,
Is only a small increase in the law,
Paying 1% with assets over10 million, 
Would produce an income of 10 billion,

Simpler, the UK Wealth Tax Commission,
Has produced a suggested permission,
A 1% wealth tax on assets over one million,
And if it ran for five years; that is £260 billion.

This is seventy-four billion each year,
To stop the poor from living in fear,
The truth is the rich want their cash,
And the poor just a little of the cash.
