Have reached an impasse,
As both gas and electricity,
Have a simplicity,

Of the fall from glory,
Of the privatisation,

The first decision,
That caused derision,
Was the possibility,
And the simplicity, 
To have a total reduction, 
In the production,
Of gas and electricity,

Buying at the market,
Was the target,
Spot prices,
Were devices,
To make it cheaper,
But now there is a grim reaper,

Spot prices,
Are now more like dices,
Throw them down,
Like a clown,
Then frown
Should you buy,
Or just cry,

Gas and electric companies are to blame,
As they lit the flame,
That stopped production
Produced corruption,
By relying on other producers,
Who were really seducers,

It was sufficient,
And more efficient,
And proficient,
With a simplicity,
When gas and electricity,
Was produced by us,
And used by us,
So, no more fuss,
Time for RENATIONALISATION
