Earth’s Enemy
We are plunderers Stripping this nest of earth Of riches, taking her gilded treasures We are the slayers Tarnishing the vast savannah Laying waste to the mighty forests We are the assassins Poisoning the rushing waters Replacing the ocean with seas of plastic We are the destroyers raiders of earthen bounty Our very existence, a blight on the planet. We spread like a plague Decimating all in our path Our very existence, a blight in the universe. Mary Walsh
